Wanted to acknowledge a small personal victory today. It's been a month since I last had a drink. I wasn't planning to quit and I'm not necessarily looking to make it a permanent change, but it felt like the right move at the time. So yeah, sorta mildly happy about that.

Still really struggling to get into things. At least I managed to get past the 10K hump, but I don't know if I can crank out another 15K in the final week. Details in progress journal.

A bit late with my weekly update. It's not going too well. Got up to 6846 words out of my target 25K. I'm gonna have to really hustle if I want to hit my mark. I'll save further details, if I can find any, for my progress journal.

I got back into Cyberpunk 2077, with the aim of finally finishing a playthrough (including the Phantom Liberty expansion). Been at this one for 53 hours, and still not bored, so feeling pretty hopeful that I won't drop it. Bit of a chore making it through those bits I've already seen so many...

My first week of NWT was not a successful one. Only managed 3883/25000 words, and the quality of those words leaves a lot to be desired. This workflow of spewing out sloppy nonsense and not tweaking it until it's actually decent feels unnatural and unpleasant. Still, I can see some worthwhile...

I'm still not quite sure what I'm gonna do. I keep being indecisive, and I don't have any sort of outline. Also, I'm suddenly losing at least a week of November, so I'm gonna switch my target to 25K with the option of increasing if I hit a good pace.

I talked about doing the prequel novel to one of my main series in that other thread, but for a variety of reasons I'm starting to lean away from that. The main thing is that it wants very much to be a slow burn, and it'd tend to end up at around 175-200K, the typical range for my fantasy...
