I can strongly identify with you on this. PicInterest, or whatever it's called, is usually the main culprit.

Might be a weird one, but smoking. My whole family smokes/smoked, and I was always utterly disgusted by it. No one, hero, villain, or otherwise, ever smokes in anything I write. I just pretend cigarettes, cigars, etc, were never invented. Kind of like how the authors of some zombie works, like...
