Probably because it's offensive to those who don't have them? And there are more than a few serial killers with light blue eyes so... angelic... maybe not a fair ideal. Eye color isn't characterization. I have blue eyes, always wanted brown. Still do if I'm honest.

Hmm. I have brown eyes (coupled with brown hair), and always wanted something else. To me, those two spell instant boredom. I can't be the Hero like that. At best, I can be the Funny Sidekick, or the Guy who Offers Cake and Consolation.
