Nope, only in the north and some other parts. Around where I live, we are pretty free of that burden. I think I was bitten once or twice only last year. This year, not yet.
Ugh. Living next to a swamp, skeeters are really bad. My wife and I have debated putting up a couple of bat houses on a few of the pines along the edge. We love to watch them in the evenings, and they're obviously great at eating mosquitoes.

Never heard of those, but they sound cool!
I wouldnt know where to put one though. I live in the suburbs and have 1 big maple tree in the middle of my yard that an annoying squirrel lives in and terrorized my dogs. I dont think it would like me hanging stuff up on its tree....
