Every so often, someone asks in research how to set up a community in location X or Y and what's needed for such a community to be successful. A website that offers private islands for sale had these resources. You can adjust the basics as needed...for example, you could have a coal or ore mine in the area if you needed materials to craft/manufacture weapons or tools or to provide fuel.

I absolutely ADORE this site! Every time there is a commercial on for the lottery, I buy a ticket and browse this website to see what $$$$ will get me.
One daydream I have is to set up some type of writer's festival or retreat where a ton of developing writers could come and stay for 3 months, 6 months, maybe even a year and just write. All their expenses would be paid (within reason) so they'd be fed, housed, have their privacy, electricity and the internet.
Anyways....it's nice of the website to pin down what people need to live independently.
