Hello!
I'm mentioning the Indiana University Health Hospital in passing, and I was wondering what the locals would call it, if there's a colloquial name for it.
I don't know if it's that common at all, but over here we tend to shorten or nickname hospitals. Like, nobody's going to the Leiden University Medical Center. You're going to the Azetel. (Hard to explain, but it's AZL, the abbreviation of the hospital's old name in the local accent.)

Anyway, something like that.

Not really. There are seven hospitals in my city and we just call them by their regular names minus the word "hospital" at the end. They'd probably just call it Indiana or IU. Or maybe Indiana Hospital. You'd have to ask someone from the area to be sure, but I don't think it's a big thing unless there's something particular with the nomenclature in that area.

As Homer said, we call it by the name it was before IU Health took over. There are many off-shoots of it too, like the IU Health Foot, IU Health Cancer, etc. It's mostly the parent company of a bunch of smaller medical institutions.
