Moving - need new desk - looking for recommendations

Moving to a new house soon and the desk I am currently using is built in so can't be taken with us. This gives me the opportunity to start from scratch.

All of my drafts are done by hand using fountain pens and then I enter everything into my laptop. I still print everything out and edit on the paper as well. So, comfort while writing is crucial.

To fit into the decor, the desk cannot be vintage or antique. My better half insists it not be too imposing although wooden tops are fine and the legs can be wood as well. If the entire desk is made of wood it has be a lighter one. The key for me will be comfort while writing...especially to reduce my leaning over/stooping over while writing. Also, getting old and a standing desk won't work for me.

Looking for thoughts and ideas for something where the slope of the desktop could be adjusted. Something akin to a drafting table but don't know if I want a really large surface like a drafting table. Worst case I will need to get a regular desk and a writing slope of some kind.

TIA!

They do make smaller sized drafting tables and work tables that tilt, though their aesthetics vary. I can't recommend any particular brand though.
