After recovering from open heart surgery to under go three cardiac arterial bypasses and replace a stenotic aortic valve, I took it upon myself to get a book written about an incredibly vivid dream I experienced while under sedation for the procedure. I was so involved in the dream as a third person observer that upon having the intubation equipment removed from my throat, I immediately tried to drift back off into that surrealistic ethereal state I had been in. It was so immersive I felt as though I was participating in a movie involving an incredible story line. I feel as though the dream was influenced by my interest and love of science fiction and futuristic technological advances. I am constantly going down the rabbit hole following article headlines on the web about the latest and greatest medical and scientific discoveries and theories.
My story involves two less than willing warriors from opposite sides of a modern conflict who both sustain battlefield heart injuries. Their wounds precipitate them both having to have A.I. controlled artificial hearts transplanted simultaneously by their prospective battlefield surgical units. Their new hearts' connectivity and activation happen concurrently and by some twist of fate become entwined in the A.I.'s primary goal and function......to keep them alive by all means possible. Through the many avenues of connectivity including wireless, satellite, cellular and blue tooth, the mechanical hearts and their operating software become sentient. With artificial intelligence at the helm; spying via camera, radar, signal hacking, cell phone microphones etc. become the eyes and ears that allow the two warfighters to be unknowingly kept safe from the many weapons of war controlled by digital means.
Without giving away the ending, the story is a simple and easy read which I hope my 10 year old grandson can comprehend (he reads at a 16 yr old level). I didn't do much of the actual first copy, but had help with a paid ghost writer who collaborated and followed my wishes. The final product was made after many corrections and input from me as my associate kept wandering off the story line. As you can tell from the structure of this introduction, I am not a very good writer but more of an a concept and idea guy. I admire all of you here who do write so well and all who have given me advice and the conviction to get my story on paper. The book is titled: "A.I.M Of Intelligence: Heart Of Peace" and was self published on Amazon/Kindle back in December 2024. Thanks for the audience.
