Podcasts

I've tried submitting to a couple places like that. Escape Pod and PodCastle come to mind. Haven't had any success, but I also don't adjust my stories in any way or consider how they might sound being read out loud. I probably should, but there are only a handful of such publishers like these that come up in my submission lists, so at this time (for me), it's not really worth the time investment in investigating further.

I sent probably my only (kinda) sci-fi effort. They said they liked it but rejected because there were two characters speaking and they wanted something that could be read by a single voice.

I'm of the same opinion. It's hard enough to write one piece of short fiction. Unless there's someone I really want to read my stuff outloud, I'm not going to adjust my work for podcasts.
