Third in Series Self Published

Hi All.
Just self-published on Amazon the third book in my DCI Lesley Grant Murder Mystery series. The first book took me five years to write but books two and three were written in eighteen months each so at least I am getting quicker if not better!
The only marketing I do is five day free promos so I do not get volume sales but pleasantly surprised at the ratings I have received from readers - I find very few will leave reviews. I have found five day promos on the first book have worked for me. Although not everyone who downloads during the promo will read the book the number of ratings for the first book v the second book which I have not run promos on suggests that several do read it. Also after the promo the book returned further up the main lists than before the promo so it was a way of pushing the book back up the lists. Now the third is published I have decided to run a promo on books one and two this weekend so it will be interesting to see the results.

BTW I have been a member for several years but I had to register again to post. I guess because of the transition to the new site which I think is a huge improvement over the old one.

Yes, we've all had to begin anew.

I'll be watching to see how your campaign goes. I have but one novel out, so I've done no advertising on it. I do better with in-person hand sales than I do on Amazon, and I tell myself it's because of no ad campaign, not because the book is awful or whatever. You sound like you're where I hope to be in the foreseeable future.
