However, i cant get this scene out of my head (its been there for over a month now). The scene contributes nothing to my WIP, which is already finished. Its simply fluff. But i keep thinking about it. I want to write it. But the scene isnt going to fit anywhere and would have no purpose other than as filler/fluff

I should be getting on with my Selkie story.. But I feel like crap and having trouble getting into my mmc's head so I'm not writing anything right now.
Today I WILL haul computer, notes, and myself to the library where I can do the next step in organizing Draft II without being distracted by things at home and online. I feel like a curling stone gliding along the wrong trajectory, needing to be redirected so I can glide in the right direction.
Truth be told, I'm still invested in several either partially written or completely scrapped yet ideas are still floating around in the ol' noggin...novels.
Ethan Morris being the protagonist of one of them. He's the ultimate gamer and an obnoxious pinhead. Then there's Chase No Last Name from Two-Headed Shadow. A tormented fellow who is too nice for his own good. Billy from Leo: A Cannibal's Autumn. Another being a screwball detective who is a romantic in all the worst ways.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
But right now I'm trying to focus on Granite Cradle.
One problem is Cannibal's Autumn and The Autumn Spiral share a 'world' and in some ways a very similar protagonist. Now I'm not quite sure what to do with that.
My current WIP is a historical adventure set in the kingdom of Kush (located in the Nubian region of northern Sudan) circa 700 BC. The story is about a Kushite expedition to a place called the Oasis of Death in order to capture one of the "dragons" that live there for the royal menagerie.
The "oasis" in question is actually a portal to the Cretaceous Period around 100 million years ago, with the "dragons" actually being dinosaurs.
I have one chapter written already, and am working through the second at the moment.
