Creating this thread so we can be a bit more specific - the Feats threads is for all writing related things achieved - covers, queries, blurbs, coffee drunk etc.

If you're not running a progress journal (or even if you are), posting your word count gives you, and the forum, a sense of momentum, so we're not all sitting here posting instead of doing any actual writing.

So, I hope everyone goes for it!

For me, 0 so far today, I'll get on to it this evening after work, I really, really will.

-160 words. Edited the opening scene for brevity, to get to the inciting incident faster, and sharpen dissonance.

About +150 words, restoring the story to about the same length it was before, but moving it on.

I mean... Some of us might be

500w flash yesterday, if I can still count it.

Mostly planning today for a new story lots of notes, a half-baked outline, and maybe a hundred or so words on what could be the opening paragraph.

800 words today. Managed to balloon the story to 5000+ words AGAIN. And it isn't even finished yet.

This is the most consecutive days I've worked on my stupid second novel in over a year. It's Naomasa's fault, since he created this thread.

I think it's a little funny and typical of us writers that the first post on a word count thread is a minus count.

I managed around 300 words today.

Today I wrote 3,438 words. Then I decided I hated the direction I went and now it's at 37 for the day. Oh well.
