I wanted to make a thread for anybody who knits, crochets, weaves, etc. to talk about and show their projects and patterns!! I'm a crocheter and I've gotten into making sweaters with granny squares. I've made two and I'll try to find some pictures later.

My kindergarten teacher told us that turning the light switch on and off in rapid succession would cause a fire. Also the good old 'leaving the overhead light on in the car is illegal'

Romance as a genre/driving plot point. As a side plot or the setup to some reveal, maybe, but most of the time I don't feel like it's necessary to enhance anything.

I'm so happy I decided to try and find the writing forum again after so long! If I had waited any longer it probably would have been a bit harder, lol

My efforts have been concentrated in trying to learn more about Jamaican Creole/Patois, because I think it's a really interesting language but my family doesn't really speak it [they've been in the US since the 70s give or take]

For me it's mostly Jamaican culture because it's part of my heritage!

All of my stories tend to have some elements of found/chosen family! Also usually unpleasant truths/withheld information/secrets that drive the narrative
