The Yarncrafters Thread!

I wanted to make a thread for anybody who knits, crochets, weaves, etc. to talk about and show their projects and patterns!! I'm a crocheter and I've gotten into making sweaters with granny squares. I've made two and I'll try to find some pictures later.

I'm rather good at puzzles, but never picked up thread. I think it's neat though and an admirable hobby.

I was kind of sick today so in-between the writing I did I made a good bit of progress on my crochet projects! The green sweater has been assembled for a while but I finally cut all the loose ends from the color changes. I might extend the sleeves but I really like how it looks right now. The multicolored piece is half of a cardigan and is two rows away from being done. I'll do the other side in the same color pattern and then seam it up at the back, and I'm going to add ribbing and some buttons I've had laying around for ages. I promise the colors are nicer in person! I don't know why my phone camera washes it out so much.

What nice projects everyone has to share!

I used to weave and am setting up the loom room to have another run at it on days when the weather doesn't entice me outside. My husband did make me a cinch loom a couple of years ago, and there's nothing to keep me from carrying it outside except I have a hard time starting projects. Apparently I have trouble finishing, too, because the project on my Navajo loom has been there a very long time.

I learned to crochet when I was in high school and I can sorta knit, but have never knitted anything worth showing off. Embroidery became a profession about 25 years ago; I am easing into retirement now. You can see some of my work HERE. These are older projects; one of the problems with turning a hobby into a job is not having time to do things just to entertain myself.
