    Art & craft of screenwriting

My latest project was about a girl wanting to apply to the police academy because she was feeling fragile or insecure or due to some past events. I was recently supposed to submit a synopsis to another place and I decided to try and complete this story. Once I started writing though I realized I...

    What made me happy today?

I have a day off tomorrow because it's a holiday (similar to western Labour Day I think), around here it's usually celebrated with barbacues or going to the seaside (3 or 4 hours of drive). I'll probably stay home to complete everything I need to write, submit and clean, and maybe go out for few...

I would love to participate in NaPoWriMo 2027 and see how much we've all improved (if I have enough time next year)

Yeah it was fun to try new things and learn about different poetic forms, like a crash introductory course in poetry. And I think some of the participants were writing according to prompts written in other places, I think there were a lot of NaPo websites and participants involved, possibly...

Thanks, you too! I decided I should go for continuity but on some days I probably wrote stanzas rather than full poems. It's like when some of you were participating in the November novel writing challenge (NWT) and it was important to write/post daily.

Socks Fox and Audrey Howitt, thanks for sharing the poems with us and congrats for completing the challenge! I still have 2 poems to go, feeling a bit exhausted but it's gonna be weird without poems every day (night in my case).

    Random Thoughts

The audience could have been already familiar with some of the plots (since the plays were often based on existing stories).

'Write what you know' is sometimes perhaps taken too literally. Writing about familiar characters in different contexts can still be considered writing what one knows.

    Movies, Movies, Movies!

I'm participating in an (online) film club and we've been watching Oscar nominations, not bad. I hoped it would be more of a TV series club but couldn't get others to agree, I guess it's not practical to watch the whole season instead of just one film.

"Our life is different now we’ve drunk the tea" I'm drinking my third coffee this morning (not too strong though), drinking more tea sounds like a decent plan.

And happy birthday to the forum from me too but I think there's still time until then.

I thought Luxuria was male and in the other thread it said 'she'. Luxuria could be more female name though, unless they were joking around.

    What made me happy today?

I read part one of Twilight and liked that it's a combination of romance and vampire mythology, I'd probably like some of NR stories that have elements of fantasy.

    What made me happy today?

Don't think I read Nora Roberts much but I liked reading romance stories published in local magazines in summer, I'm guessing it's similar type of literature.
