Been sick for the last few days, so no work or school. Guess that means I have a moment to try and write something. Will it be any good? My feverish brain says no, but it's better than nothing!

I feel like it's been so long since I had a good writing streak. I miss being able to just sit down with a coffee or tea and just go.

Feeling stagnant. Covered in pond scum and icky larvae. Might find some catfish or eels, though. Which is pretty sick.

I cannot believe I won. I'm not being facetious when I say I haven't won much in life, so this means a lot. Especially because my writing journey has been incredibly difficult -- posting my story was nerve-wracking. I wasn’t sure if anyone would understand it, or if it would resonate. But it did. And I’m so, so grateful.

Thank you to those participating and reading The Jade Empire roleplay and being soooo incredibly kind and gracious to me. It warms my heart and truly makes me more confident in my writing. Thank you <3

On a nonfiction kick, mostly journalism. Just finished Dave Cullen's Columbine, I'm hoping to pick up his book on Parkland from the library when it's available. Harrowing and haunting, but his writing is excellent. Highly recommend if this is a subject you're interested in, but I advise taking breaks because the subject matter can get very heavy.

It's as if it's caught in my throat, choking and suffocating me. There's something that just...blocks me from getting past it.

I'm new here! I'm excited to read everyone's work and get to know all my fellow authors.
