Character Chat Room? (Denied)

There was a fun game on the old site called Character Chatroom where we basically had the characters of our books talk to each other in-character. I'm wondering if there would be interest in setting that back up here, and if this would be the appropriate place to post it.

Picture me screaming with my fingers in my ears... that thing took so much mod time. I'm not going to say no, but it will be down to gravy to moderate it so it's her call, but my advice is don't do it

That sounds interesting! I like it and approve with a promise this RP will follow roleplay forum rules and the following additional ones:
1. Don't be jerks to one another's characters.
2. Don't be jerks to the author of a character.
3. This is NOT a character info dump/self-indulgent tango parlor. You can add canon background to your character, but don't let your character's angsty backstory take ALL the attention ALL the time.
4. Max word count is 300 words. We want everyone to be able to interact as their characters. So, no essays, please.
5. These rules can be changed by me or the mods at any time.

ahh fuck it - go for it if you want... just be careful of kids joining, the main issue we had at WF concerned a very young girl joining and then some deeply sketchy people also turning up to ahem 'play' .... i'm not down for a 12 year old girl having private chats with a 53 old man via our site regardless of whether they are 'in character'

Agreed. Not to mention this could be come a free-for-all/my character's better than yours fight. The current idea of a Chatroom Roleplay is hereby:

But don't despair! I present a NEW idea!

This thread gets turned into your roleplay, where 3 or more players can use their OWN original story characters to go on an adventure together. The setting up to you, people you want to invite, up to you. But this can't be just a chatroom. A location, plot, and characters must established and approved.

But I am ALL for characters from different writers' stories being forced to wait out a snowstorm in a mountain cabin together. I think it could be fun! So, what do you think, @WritingInTheDark? Do you want an Epic Crossover Roleplay? Because I think having our original characters interact with one another would be awesome!
