Speaking of Captains, I see that Captain Kangaroo premiered 70 years ago yesterday. I remember it well, he knocked "Ding-Dong School" completely off the airwaves. I loved the show, though I am haunted to this day by one occasional guest, "The Banana Man."

I loved the "Banana Man".......when he made a train out of all the stuff hidden in his coat and the sound he made after he would pull it out. Very few people I talk to remember him. Nice that you do.
