On Thursday, I had the honor of one of my haikus appearing in 5-7-5 Haiku Journal, a small online poetry journal dedicated to haikus and related forms in the classic 5-7-5 syllable format.

This is only my second poetry publication, and my first for a lone poem. Normally, I wouldn’t bother submitting poetry because it’s a lot of hassle for very little reward, but the reaction from readers when I shared this in the Poetry section of our Workshop was so positive that I decided it was worth a shot. So, once again, a big thank you to everyone who commented in that thread, because this probably never would’ve happened otherwise!
