On Thursday, I had the honor of one of my haikus appearing in 5-7-5 Haiku Journal, a small online poetry journal dedicated to haikus and related forms in the classic 5-7-5 syllable format.

This is only my second poetry publication, and my first for a lone poem. Normally, I wouldn’t bother submitting poetry because it’s a lot of hassle for very little reward, but the reaction from readers when I shared this in the Poetry section of our Workshop was so positive that I decided it was worth a shot. So, once again, a big thank you to everyone who commented in that thread, because this probably never would’ve happened otherwise!

Congrats! It's a great poem and I followed the link to your site and then to your published story and that was great too!
Thanks! Which story was it? I’m guessing “Warden of the Wex Wood”, since that’s the last one I had published online and free to read, but now I’m curious👀

You're welcome, and yep, you are correct. It was the only one I saw a link to.

Makes sense. The others have links on their respective pages, but most aren’t freely available online, and it’s the most recent fiction release on the blog. Regardless, I’m happy to leave a reader satisfied twice over!
