Greetings. I had been looking into joining new communities as the few friends I have are mostly not interested in my projects. So I found this Googling.

I am Obbs, and I draw giant floofs and also write about them. My writing is chiefly inspired by Kull the Conqueror and Conan the Barbarian. The rest of my inspiration comes from my love of nature and the north.

Outside of drawing or writing, I also have an interest in music. I play violin and enjoy listening to metal and folk music and folk metal music.

I have a parrot (a Senegal) and love regaling people to fun facts and anecdotes about him without being prompted to. I also possess the uncanny ability to plug him into any and every conversation.

On the subject of large furry creatures, I am pleased to see one of the admins here is a moose.

Hello and welcome, BeastBlood1885! :)

I have never seen giant floofs, but my main interest is staying away from them. (It is one of my strictest rules to stay well away from anyone that can cause me grievous bodily harm). ;)

I have also been influenced by Conan, but in my case, the stories I wrote have delved more into how heroes get the way they are, and their psychological makeup -- stuff like that. :)

Finally, I too have an interest in music, but since I've been performing music semi-professionally for nearly 20 years (with various choirs), I'd guess it might be called an obsession. (Interests are free. Hobbies cost money. Obsessions chew up money and lots-and-lots of time). ;)

Welcome again!

Welcome! I also have an interest in music--I play the trumpet. I don't think I've ever listened to folk metal music but it definitely sounds like something worth checking out.
I briefly played trumpet in high school. I remember it giving me headaches lol. We were allowed to just play the piano that was at every desk if we were out of breath, at least.

Here's two songs I like from Svartsot and Heidevolk for a taste. I'll happily blast them over battle scenes when I write or draw.

It's okay. The floofs are nice. They hurl dragons and demons through the air like stuffed toys and have claws the size of a person, but they're quite chill. Whenever I bring them to an RPG, they immediately adopt the smaller characters and protect them lol.

I'll have to take a look. I peeked around a bit in the workshop area, but only briefly. I do like to explore character psychologies and how events influenced them and such.

Thank you both for the warm welcomes.

Here's one of my floffs I doodled the other day. 🐦

Oh! When you said "floofs", I thought you meant bears (like grizzlies, polars and the like). I didn't realise you meant werebears, or "skin-shifters" like Beorn. :) They are very cool.
