So, I'm a new-new member, as I discovered this site was going to come into existence yesterday as I prepared to register for the old.
I'm thehinterlander; I got my start on the web novel scene (with a fairly embarrassing, low-quality output, though it was good practice; regardless, I like to pretend the products of that time simply don't exist). My primary writerly interests are in the sphere of contemporary fantasy, and I am currently actively working on a manuscript within that genre.
I look forwards to getting to meet my fellow forum denizens!

I prefer sword-and-sorcery, myself (or comic fantasy), but I write historical fiction ... mainly set in ancient times, which gives me lots of scope for fantasy too. (Mainly that comes in the form of mythological creatures that also fit my settings ... i.e. Norse myth for Norse setting, etc.)
