Olten stared in amazement at the charred hole in the tavern ceiling. Wren and Pria conversed excitedly with the strangers in colorful robes and none of what they were saying made any sense to him. But that damage… Olten pictured the fireball that had to be produced to cause that degree of devastation. That much energy would drain him fully of his ether. Just how powerful was this mage?

“Olten?” Wren asked, his voice snapping the young fire mage’s attention back into focus.

“Sorry, what?”

Wren furrowed his brow, his soft eyes full of worry. “Are you still with us?”

Excellent post! I guess it points to the return of Roman Demid. Now that I think about it, we don't have a character sheet. I'll write one (based on existing information, not on stuff I make up) and attribute it to Luxuria's name since she introduced him.

It's @Louanne Learning's turn now. Then mine, and we shall return to our normal rotation.

Regarding Sophia and Melina, I have been contemplating on how she is supposed to defeat her over the past month, and I think I have a really sensible (albeit a bit unorthodox) solution. But that's for after all the existing development threads are closed and all the fragments are collected.

Hello, just in case you didn't see it, I updated the plot thread. Nothing new, just info we've already established.

Regarding the overall plot, I think we're on a pretty good path. The character development exercises we never did are being done now, but we should be able to proceed a fair bit faster once we're done with those. They're tricky because they take a lot of thought and care.

At our current rate, I'm pretty sure we'll be done by summer's end in the worst case. Everyone okay to keep going for that long?

I see it this way: I plan to write the rest of my life and it doesn't really matter to me all that much which stories I'm working on. So, this could go on for however long it needs to be done and I'm still on board.

Okay, great! Thank you all for your continued determination. We'll still aim at summer's end because I really do think that we're getting pretty close now.
