I'm looking for a specific horror/thriller book.
It was about a younger kid (female, I'm pretty sure), who had night terrors. Night terrors that weren't night terrors, they were real - attacking her inside her mind and had just started leaving physical marks when I lost the book.
The cover had a dark mountain and an open-mouthed/roaring bear. Maybe some other animals. Primarily dark blue I think. By thickness I'd say it was probably around 600 pages.
I was reading it on a camping/fishing trip out of state when I was 11. I think I picked it up at a yard sale on the way to Virginia. It was a beat up paperback already when I got it.
It was lost in the madness of packing when a hurricane was incoming and I have been looking for it ever since. Usually I can remember a lot of details, can see covers in my head complete with names when I'm this interested. This one I can't and it's beyond frustrating. I've tried every search, forums, etc. No dice. This book literally still haunts me 33 years later. I need to know what happened. Please help me
