Please do bear in mind that the team are volunteers who have lives and jobs outside these walls, so we have to prioritise and not everything can happen straight away

I really liked having extra information about each member beneath their profile picture in threads. I think it did a good job of establishing humanizing characteristics for fellow users as well as being fun stats to track.

This could include word games, and short writing exercises to stretch those writing muscles.

There appears to be a lot of hover things as opposed to lists. I didn't see an option for the old style in the backend, but that doesn't mean it's there. Sooooooo many shiny buttons for me the screw things up!

This could include word games, and short writing exercises to stretch those writing muscles.

We can definitely do that. I think we'll probably give it a few days and then start planning out the additional forums. Kind of gauge the functionality and lay of the land. For bigger-ish things, we'll probably start its own discussion thread for feedback. The Challenge forum wouldn't really apply for that, but something more complex like Contests would.

it's a widget... if its in he pre established options its just a tick box, if its not and we have to establish it it'll take a few... leave that one with me

Huh, it seems like such a common feature in forums I'm surprised that isn't built into the infrastructure.

strictly it is - the widgets are those boxes you see down the side of the main page

Ah, spent the last fifteen minutes trying to figure out how to do the custom "Spiritual advisor" postion thingamajig. Now I know, and it's time to go to bed.

Do you know the other emojis when you hover over the 'like' button? Are those customizable? Because I think in honor of Free Beer, you should add the Beer Emoji.

you'll be able to do that when you reach active member (100 posts and 30 days)

One annoying thing about XF is that by default, it watches every thread you post in - meaning you get a notification whenever someone posts in every thread you ever dropped a comment in. May I suggest this option is turned off by default?

some people like it though so you can always just unwatch... i'll probably turn the notification for likes off by default if i can figure out how
