Suggestions and ideas

let me know if it doesn't work as expected, we may need to do the shit with the thing in the back end.
It works great. But I accidentally created redirects in the Discussion subforum—threads that literally just link to the newly moved ones—and I don't have the permissions to delete them. So, if you can take a look and just delete those redirects, that'd be great.

Sorry for the trouble :( Here is what you need to delete:

Here, it has two redirects. And here is one also. It's just those three.

I just added locks to the threads you moved into archive btw... (no big deal since i can lock enmass with one click), its a good move to lock anything you archive to prevent people getting confused...its easy to unlock if they need to be moved back to active

I like how XF2 auto organized the threads by title, so everything looks neat and tidy inside. I was kind of afraid it would all look jumbled and messy but it's great.

Thanks for the locks, by the way. If you can look into deleting those redirects whenever you can, that'd be great. Sorry again!

Ive lost count of the number of times ive done that both here and the OG, no dramas i deleted the redirects (you don't have delete thread which is why you can't)

you have to untick the 'leave a redirect' box on the move dialogue... likwise its a good idea to ensure 'notify thread starter' and 'notify people watching' are also unticked

I'm really confused because the only suggestion you've made in this thread was for a screenwriting sub forum, and my response was not no, but rather 'we'll do it when there's sufficient demand' and that if you wanted it you needed to create content, ie threads, that would go in it (which you then didn't)

if you want to go elsewhere that's entirely up to you, but lets not manufacture outrage where none is to be found

also i'm not clear on where all these 'complains' are, because aside from telling you not to discuss politics i can't see any, you don't even have any warning points..
There were two suggestions, the other was by another forum member in this thread @Rad Scribbler I think. But I don't want to be forcing the mods and admins to start threads they are opposed to. I don't live in the West but most of us know there were global issues with filmmaking industry in previous years so I thought supporting them would be welcome suggestion. I guess I am not the official member until I had at least one registered (official) screenplay so perhaps what I think doesn't count as much but I will get there hopefully.

I'm not oposed to it, but as i said previously we don't want a bunch of empty boards. So if you want to start threads about screen writing do it in the general writing forum. If there's sufficient interest in those threads, and other people start similar ones then we'll create a forum for them and move them across.

likewise if you want to post scripts to be workshopped put them under fiction (or non fiction if appropriate)...when we come to break that section out into others if there's sufficient numbers they can have their own subs

Okay thanks, because screenwriting colleagues are writers too. I will be advertising the thread in other places just so you know! If no one appears then I need to go to other screenwriting forums.
