They say 25% of creative types have some form of synesthesia and I'm curious who has it and what types.
I have olfactory-visual synesthesia, meaning when I smell something a corresponding visual appears in my mind. Usually this visual is a color but sometimes it's patterns, with or without colors, sometimes a shape, etc. I got laughed at a lot in school and corrected by teachers when they'd ask what, for example, rain smells like and I said light blue with purple dots
When I got older and forgot to sensor myself when asked to smell a candle or something I was usually accused of being high
