In the meantime, I'll start writing my next entry so the story doesn't get stagnant. I am on vacation visiting family right now, so it may be a couple of days.

I think I'm about 50% through the story. It is very fun. Now I'm just sad I didn't come by sooner.

I have a character idea already but I need to refine it a bit to see how she slots into the current story and dynamic. Should I send you a draft character sheet now or a more complete one once I'm finished reading?

Male or female: Female

Age: 55

Chinese, British, American or French? Mongolian Nomad

Physical appearance: Wears a weatherworn and old yellow Mongolian deel made of wool. Black hair is tied back in a tight bun. Looks classically Mongolian. She walks with a stick and packs a brutal steam-powered kick when she needs it.

Backstory: She is a farmer, an Elemental type.

In childhood, she lived a nomadic life, travelling through the Mongolian...

I am very interested in meeting this wise, older woman with a "steam-powered kick."

@Tallyfire has indicate they are willing to discuss ideas about how we might introduce Saran into the story

I suggested she might become like a surrogate mother to our orphaned novice-monk Shan. Perhaps, they can meet on the road. Saran seems a person of the solid earth, and Shan, as we know, is the embodiment of "Great Earth"

But what other ideas might you all have? Should Saran first meet up with a different character? Who? And how?

I think Saran meeting Shan first could be good...especially since we're heading that direction. I do think also we should, I don't know, let some characters go? I'm not sure what to do with ones that were created by writers who are no longer involved with the story.

Good idea. I have deleted the character Zǐhuǒ, created by Username, who never made an appearance into the story, from the index.

That leaves Min and Bertrand to be written out of the story. Something for all of us to keep in mind.
