The purpose of these rules is to keep this a fun happy place for everyone to enjoy. They may change from time to time as the forum develops
1) This is a writers forum: We discuss writing here, with the exception of The Lounge. Please stay on topic.
2) Don't do anything illegal (under the laws of the USA ).
3) No posting spam or unauthorized advertising of any kind. No external links to anything even remotely commercial or spammy.
4) No content generated by AI... Workshop posts or general discussion.
5) Please treat each other with respect and dignity. This is not a U rated forum but that isn't license to swear like a drunken sailor.
6) You must own the copyright to everything you post as your own work. Small sections of work of others may be quoted but must be attributed.
7) Plagiarism, cheating in the contests, and other dishonest conduct is forbidden.
8) Members may only have 1 account, creating duplicates will result in the banning of all accounts involved.
9) No political or religious debates - there are many places on the internet for that. This isn't one of them.
10) Rules are interpreted and enforced at staff discretion and all decisions are final.
Workshop Rules:
You get one thread 'free', there after you are expected to give at least one critique to others per each critique you request
people may be writing about contentious subjects, but critique should focus on the writing, not debating views on the subject. All work for critique must be copy/pasted directly into a Workshop thread. No links to external sources will be allowed.
Warnings and Bannings:
Spam, illegal behaviour, and extreme disrespect to another member or staff will result in an instant perma ban.
For everything else we operate a three strike policy 1) warning 2) suspension 3) perma ban
