Oh, highly worthwhile. There was one season I didn't particularly care for, think it was the third, but this one is a banger.Season 1 of The Bear was great, will maybe watch the other seasons sometime.
But bro, The Bear isn't even about restaurants, bro. It's about, like, the personal cost of obsession and excellence, bro. It's about finding family in the midst of urban disenfranchisement, bro.I can't watch shows about restaurants. The technical mistakes drive me bonkers. I imagine it's like cops watching cop shows. Black Rabbit was an exception, though every time they tried to say something clever it was a face palm. There was a bit about either soup or bone prep where the chef said she needed it in like 30 mins. I was like, okay, that takes 36 hours to prepare so unless you have a time machine....
100%. I'm sure I'm missing a great show. I just can't over it. I want to climb through the screen and start fixing stuff. But bro, The Bear isn't even about restaurants, bro. All right, I'm talking fully out of my ass, now. For funsies. Far be it from a Norwegian yokel to talk about life in big-city America. Worlds apart, mate. That being said, I don't see all that food stuff as anything more than backdrop and context. Buuut I fully understand if it messes too much with an industry professional's suspension of disbelief.
Have you watched "The Expanse" on Amazon that's based on the book series? It had a more realistic feel to it concerning the effects of weightlessness and space travel than most sci-fi productions. Was in the mood for space stuff. Rewatched the whole of Firefly in the span of a couple days (excluding Serenity the motion picture, might throw that on too). It had been too long since I revisited this absolute gem, by which I mean it had been exactly long enough that it felt almost new and I had forgotten some glorious bits. I laughed, I cried, might have gasped once or twice. It brought up memories of experiencing it for the first time with my best friend, back when we practically lived together, some fifteen years ago or possibly more. Happy days. Firefly is still one of my favorite things, it turns out. Just a shame it's so short.
Still in the mood for space stuff. Thinking about checking out The Orville next.
