It looks like missed opportunity to me. Van Halen could have made a point of introducing his singer as My Cherone, making an important gesture of inclusion to a music demographic often discounted, the little appreciated saccharine punk genre. Van Halen could have had millions of new fans overnight, mostly overweight 13 year olds stuffed with Happy Meals, but new fans nonetheless.
The 13 year olds, now in their 60's, are the lucky ones. They still have their Happy Meals. The rest of us must cope with the demons of what could have been.
Yeah, Eddie would have been all about that.
It's good for us though, while it lasts, since it's higher in search and directs people here. I hope it lasts a little longer.

I think what probably happens is Daniel pays the server bill by bank transfer so if he’s got the money it pays and if he hasn’t it goes down. February stayed up as well… however it was unusable anyway because of the massive onslaught of porn spam resulting from the failure of the spam filter

The site is still up. I get that notice too, but it's because the two addresses are almost identical so google thinks you made a mistake going to the one you haven't been frequenting.
I've been so fascinated by the logixtics of all this. Thanks for sharing them. I was the main moderator on a dance forum for years and years and all I can say is, thank goodness I retired.
The humanitarian in me wants to reach out to him and say, hey, don't bother anymore, bruh. Be well and best of luck in the future. The asshole in me wants to see him continue to pay to teach a lesson that will never be learned. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. The pragmatist in me is more like, hey just log on once and see for yourself. Whatever will be, will be. As always, my pragmatism wins out.
