What made me unhappy today ?

Leaving the old place is as bitter sweet moment for me... when i became a mod i gave Wreybies my word that i'd keep that old tub afloat for as long as i could, and its been my baby for the last 4 years, as I've struggled to keep it going it often seemed by will power alone. Still like a novel as one chapter ends, another one begins

What made you unhappy today ?

My 4 week old chicks (chickens) knocked over their water (no idea how they managed that) 2 hours after I had fully cleaned their brooder. So I got to do it again. Yay.

I was in Tokyo last year when it got up to 35c. It was... not nice.

Although technically yesterday, taking my little grey best buddy main coon kitty to the Dr. because he's not acting right to find out his Urethra is blocked, needs admitted for an unblocking procedure, and will be kept for 2 days with a kitty urinary catheter in with continuous renal flushing and an overall bill of between $1500 -$1700!

Sorry to hear. Me and my girlfriend have two maine coon cats. They've had dental issues which we're trying our best to combat. May be that they won't have any teeth the older they get. But they will still be able to eat.

It's so sorrowful when our furry friends suffer.

My adults have a hanging 5 gallon bucket with water cups on it. They can't knock it over, however at least once a year they get a little rowdy for one reason or another (I'm looking at Bowser the rooster) and manage to break a cup off. 5 gallons of water flooding the coop run coming up!

Eye strain

Between getting ready for launch and then launching this place I spent 23 hours looking at a screen on the weekend. Today I spent all day on the computer in my day job.

On top of which I recently got new glasses and am getting used to the change in prescription

Dyslexia. I was re-reading a fanfic I posted and even though I went over it several, several times for spelling, I am still finding small mistakes. An extra word here, or the wrong preposition. UGH! WHY?!!!

I know not all will have said this (me included) but everyone who has signed up are extremely grateful for your hard work, plus this restart has a nice vibe so far.

But to stop all the love her (it is the unhappy section) I've got a splitting headache again. Second night in a row. It is probably poor sleep and overthinking. And I should take some painkillers but I have had a lot of them lately so hoping an early night and a good night sleep can cure everything.

I just fell victim to a scam.

An email came in to my business email address, seemingly from one of my suppliers, telling me a service was expiring and that it needed renewing. As it happened, a service WAS expiring so I didn't look closely and clicked it, entered my card details and clicked Pay. Some weird message about an app came up, and it made me look closer. Then I realised, the link wasn't going where I expected.

I quickly logged in, transferred all the money to one of my personal accounts at another bank (not one that some caller had asked me to open) and froze my card. Tried to call the bank's fraud line and just got a voicemail. Should be ok now, but I really could do without having to deal with this in the middle of the night. I'll have to sort out a new card now and update various payment details.

You just reminded me of a time when my MC number got hijacked. Purchases on my statement made in I think it was Arizona that I never made. I think it arose from a Netflix breach. Cancelled the card and my Netflix subscription. They gave me no support on the breach.

Don't matter. I don't watch TV anyway.

No money was lost - I caught it in time. They just got my card details, but I blocked it before they could attempt to use it.

Phew! What a relief. Glad to hear no lasting damage was done (other than the headache of a new card, etc.)
