Thank you so much! I was shocked when I saw the reading. With the note looking semi-solid, it feels possible I may be able to sing it. I was doing bubbling scales at the time. being able to sing E6 is my biggest singing goal. As of right now, I can solidly sing D6. But any higher and it doesn't feel natural-ish. Aka my voice breaks and it's bad? But this gives me hope I have a lot more room to grow.
It's the licensing exam to be a Veterinary Technician in the US. She finished college on the 10th and took her exam today. She'll be working at the #2 college for veterinary medicine in the country in their animal hospital and plans to start college there for Veterinary school after a year or so while continuing to work part time. It's an amazing opportunity for her and I believe she'll do very well. She's been raised in the animal world (I'm a retired Vet tech and dog trainer and we have a kind of micro farm) and is consistently the top of her class so I'm not too worried. She's excellent at what she does. Of course that isn't always enough unfortunately, but I have faith!
I think I may be handing in my final assignment tonight.
After a whole year of an endless catch up game, the ending is in sight!!!!!! I can hardly believe it.
Of course, there is a possibility that they'll fail me when my grades come around, but I've worked very hard to minimize that to almost zero. I'm confident that I'll be okay.
I had a virtual appointment with a nurse practitioner last week, and at the end she noticed that my health card had expired. I went to my wallet and confirmed this was true. I also noticed that my driver's license had also expired a few weeks ago. Damn. I tried to renew them online, but you need a valid driver's to renew your health. And I needed a new picture to renew the driver's. Farts.
Checked the in-person government place near me online and they were fully booked for appointments for the maximum time they book them - 2 months. There was a warning saying that walk-ins are not ideal due to volume.
I need healthcare, so I didn't have much choice. Had to just roll the dice. Took an Uber to the place this afternoon and grabbed a ticket for my place in line. By some miracle I was in and out in less than 45 minutes with a valid, temporary health card and driver's license. I was expecting a horrible fiasco but it all turned out quite easy for me. Love these little life wins here and there.
In dire need of jeans. I worked some OT a few weeks back, so my paycheck was nearly as fat as me. I had five new pairs of cargo pants and two new pairs of cargo shorts show up today.
I'm set for a bit for now.
Tis the little things, eh?
Now, I'm working on saving extra for a new industrial-strength iPad, and later on a new efan moar eenduztreehul ztrangf MacBook Pro 'puter.
Should have the funds for the iPad by September. Looking at the MBP as a Xmas gift for myself next year.
