What's happening in your WIP?

In Granite Cradle, my protagonist Sean asks his wife's permission to read a strange book that was left in the house they just moved back to, a house they used to live in twenty years ago. They're trying to live a pleasant life in Maine, but old ghosts keep coming back to haunt them.

In my tentatively resurrected short story "Lovestruck Apocalypse" a blank slate of a man approaches a woman in a vat. Decisions, decisions. Except since he's a blank slate of a man, he doesn't know what he wants.

So...what's happening/will happen in your WIP?

In terms of the writing, not much, because I'm currently a bit tired and depressed.
In terms of the plot, my protagonist (along with his brother and various friends and allies) is travelling back to his home country to do a thing. More specifically, he's making a bit of a pit stop to talk to another friend, because he's not sure he's doing the right thing and needs to get his head straight.
