What is happening around the world that should be mentioned (and that is not the explicit discussion of politics etc because it's not allowed in this part of the forum)? I live in southeastern Europe in a country with communist past (and somewhat democratic present) that at this time has complicated but still close relations to neighboring countries. They say that there is a war happening around here every 50 years, hopefully that is just a saying.
As for the events around here, there are student protests happening in a region since last year, and recently an international TV station that was reporting on the news in the Middle East closed down.
