@Iain Aschendale was making fun of the fact that I use my phone to time my meditation sessions. This is a photo of a miniature Buddha that a friend picked up for me in India back in 1979, long before cell phones or even the Internet. But he sure looks like he is scrolling his news feeds or FB:
This is a photo we took on a hike in the Scottish Highlands over a decade ago. A truly magical place. We plan to go back this fall. The photo is unaltered - the double rainbow, the lighting, etc, are all real and just as they appeared up there on the ben. That is my niece (the one who is currently working as a nurse in Boston and lives with me when she is in Canada) and if her arms look like an Irish dancing pose it is because she was a competitive Irish dancer. (Recently, she posted a video clip of people Irish dancing and captioned it "My first love")
My daughter-in-law and I will be in the northern part of the country for three weeks in September. She can hardly wait to try out the Scots Gaelic she's been studying for ten years. She already has ferry rides booked to the Orkneys and an island I can't recall right now. Note to self: pack Dramamine.
