Writing Challenge: Describe The Person

Because I really struggle to describe my characters (How did I get this far?) I'm starting to take to practicing it. And since we already have one writing challenge I really enjoy (thank you @Louanne Learning ), I thought it would be fun to turn into a writing challenge too (and keep myself doing it in the process). So, rules:

1) I'll start by posting a photo of a person (plucked from the internet) and then write a description. No more than a hundred words is a good rule I think.
2) Then I'll post a picture below that.
3) The next poster describes the/a person in the picture above (marking how many words it was), then posts a new picture.
4) Repeat step three until the stars burn out.

EXTRA RULE: Pictures should be either of celebrities/actors etc who can reasonably expect to have their faces in the public realm or photos where the person isn't identifiable. In effect following post number 2.

Sound good? Well, guess I'll do it anyway!

He looked humble, almost so much so that you didn't believe it. He wore a vest and jeans and looked like the type of guy to have backup pairs of each, like it was the only thing he'd ever wear. He was balding, the hair on his head and face a rusty lining. You’d think nothing of him in the street unless he smiled, and then you’d see it. All the stars in the galaxy shone in those eyes, in that hope, in eternal, glowing cheer. (86 words)

And the next one...

Your turn!

What a great idea for a thread! I'll give it a try.

Tendrils of long, brown hair swept across her puerile face, like the winds of change blowing in a reckoning. She closed her eyes to go into her mind. A far-away look came upon her face, as memories, both good and bad, played in her consciousness. The suppleness of youth may have softened her on the outside, but a firm constitution on the inside rallied her. Surrender would never be an option. With a nod of confident readiness, she opened her eyes, to face come-what-may.

can i suggest we stick to either celebrities/actors etc who can reasonably expect to have their faces in the public realm or photos like the one louanne posted where the person isn't identifiable... just trying to head off any potential issues with somone getting uposet that their likeness is described derogatorily

Happy to take that suggestion for sure. I'll mod the opening section.

Covered from neck to shin in denim she sprang into the air, as high as she'd ever leapt, as high as she ever would, ginger hair sparking into brilliance in the morning suns gaze. People would remember her, beautiful, bright, defying gravity, dainty hands wide open to embrace the world, her scream of victory as brief as it was indelibly carved into their memories.
Then she landed. Noticed the people watching. Folded her demined arms around herself and avoided their eyes. No more did she float free. But the smile, warm and wide, beneath sparkling green irises. That remained. (99 words)
