Going to have to skip this turn, too. Should the same happen next time, I'll either go on hiatus or dropout altogether, as I don't want to keep slowing things down. I'm sorry.

Trying to come up with the title to a humorous fantasy academic paper. Which of these is better / any other suggestions?

So good. Just enough sadness without being depressing. I love how resilient Min is! I can't wait to see more of her. Looking forward to meeting Alexis!

Sorry, but I'm not able to get an entry in. Skip my turn.

    Long Distance Murder

The first one's the most reasonable of the three, but you'll have to make some adjustments if you don't want the police to suspect foul play. Poison would be too easy to detect, by a trained eye and by toxicology, especially if your story's set in modern times. You could give the victim a...

The Jade Empire - OOC Thread

Welcome, @Luxuria! I'm excited to get to work with you again! Considering Locke seems to be an antagonist (?), I think it'd be interesting to have a few other antagonists that're his associates or former students or something along those lines. If @ellekaldwin is okay with that, of course. I...

    Problem with an antagonist's plan

A second, more "accurate" prophecy, maybe? I don't know if that's the route you're taking, but you could have him set someone else up to be sacrificed instead. Or something like a goat if he's not that awful.

Posted! I hope it gives better insight into Shaohua's mindset. And that it isn't as rushed as I feel like it might be?? I'm excited to see where the adventure takes everyone!

The Jade Empire - Official story

Filial piety was perhaps the virtue most instilled into the country's youth. Shaohua learned it all his life, and he taught it himself. Parents worked hard to raise their children and indeed deserved respect for it. But it was difficult for one to remain loyal to those who've failed him or her...

Opinions on Fanfiction? Love, hate, tolerate?

It's where some outside force, like plant spores or a drug, gets at least one character in the mood and pushes the ship to have sex, based on the way pollen arouses insects. Smut writers are a breed of their own.

Opinions on Fanfiction? Love, hate, tolerate?

I think it's a reference to the tropes and clichés seen in fanfiction but not in originals. Fanfic has its own lexicon as a whole, not to mention fandom-specific vocab, that isn't really seen in the traditional world. Quirked brows. Teeth clacking and tongues battling for dominance in kisses...

    Procrastination...

Procrastination is the only thing I'm good at. It's at its worst when I'm especially tired, which has been very frequent lately. Sometimes I'm good at getting work done now so I can rest later, but not as often as I should be. It's just so hard to resist not-doing-things when it's so much easier...

Opinions on Fanfiction? Love, hate, tolerate?

I love fanfiction and will scream so from the rooftops. Lately, I've done more fic writing than fic reading, but I adore both. Fanfiction is a wonderful thing. We get to explore characters we love, their dynamics, and the worlds they live in, all while trying to stay within the parameters set by...

The Jade Empire - OOC Thread

It's great! Easy to understand and didn't go on longer than it needed to. And the setting is fascinating! Locke's a fun antagonist. Thank you for bringing the steampunk so hard. Jian and Tala add so much life to the story.
