I clicked no email on preferences, but still received email notifications on two threads. I followed Moose's suggestion, unwatched the threads, clicked watch again and have received no further emails except those I chose to keep.

I missed that suggestion. Will try that. Thank you.

As I said to Ian previously it only does it for threads you watch going forward from when you change the options. The ones prior you need to unwatch then rewatch

Yes that’s stupid but it’s inherent in the software not something we can change

Thank you, all! I unticked the "watch" checkboxes and re-ticked them. (I'm not sure what that's supposed to achieve, but we'll see later this evening, when work is done).
