Hey hey! Busy week so I haven't done one of these in a little bit. And not much to report beyond the Contests as they navigate their first gestation period:
- Two days left to enter the Fourth Contest, a critique challenge for the first medal in Writing Forum history. It might not be Babe Ruth's first homerun, but history only remembers the victors.
- The Short Story Contest is open for submission until the 15th. It's an open prompt, so write whatever you want. There's some great entries so far. It's probably going to take a few cycles to really get the contests going, so let's have fun and throw whatever you want in there.
- The Poetry Contest kicks off on Saturday the 7th. I'm not very good at it, but am in awe of those who are.
- Update here on the Roleplay if you didn't catch it earlier. Entire novels are being written one entry at a time. We'd love to start more of these, so check that out.
- I think it's time to close the Oral History and convert it into some kind of memorial. 6.13.2006 - 5.29.2025. But nobody died, so it's a happy memorial! I'm blown away by the 50+ stories. Thank you everyone for that.
