Hey hey! Quick question for the community: what do you call this forum? Like, when words come out of you mouth to name this forum to somebody else, what do you actually say? I've always just called it The Forum. And as far as I can tell, this is the official name:

Writing Forums, right? That's what the title says, but do you call it that? I'm fascinated to know about this. We've been designing a new logo and the title got me wondering. I've legit never called it Writing Forums in my life.

Whenever I have referred to it, strangely, it's always been "the writing forum"

Even more strangely perhaps, when I click on a link in my browser, to myself I call it writing frog.

I normally say the writing forum… talking about this one rather than the old one I might say the new writers forum

When I speak to family members I say in Swedish: skrivarforum, which translates to "writing forum".

I think I used "writing forum" when I spoke about the old one as well on social media. Which incidentally fits the new forum better.

As an aside, I really like the name writingforum.org and that it lacks an "s". It isn't many forums, it's just one, with many sub-forums. So, it fits nicely, in my opinion.

(I'm going to try and see if my brother wants to join, he's also a writer.)

Sorry, I don't mention WF to many.

To one of my brother's once, "there's this writing forum I'm a member..."

To my wife, "you know that site I do be on..." then blush expecting someone to jump out from behind the counter saying "fuckin' gobshite thinks he's a writer now."

I think you should go with that last one.

Well, if this thread is for marketing research, I guess the place to start is with what you want the name to say. What are your selling points?

What we're really looking for here is answers to the question homer asked... what do you guys call the forum? It would a;lso be useful to know how you found the original forum if you can remember that far back. No offence but we're not looking to brainstorm new names and stuff in this thread.

Just looking to see what people call it, really. More specifically if anyone actually calls it by its official "Writing Forums," which doesn't seem to be the case. More a quirky observance than anything else.

It was 2011, and I remember typing "forum for novel writers".

I think it was something similar for me but can't remember.

Market Research is probably not the right thing to call it. More like Member Survey. Now that Project Lifeboat is over and my head has stopped spinning, I'm diving more into the data and analytics to see what we really have here.

As far as i remember i was a member on lit and lat and someone there suggested the site because i was getting frustratedwith how inactive L&L was
