I wanted a little treat today before I got groceries again and began eating more sensibly once more. And so, I got an Impossible Whopper for the first time in a few months. Good god did I gobble that thing up. So delicious.

Happy to see the BOS NYY series go to a third game. Get tired, strain those pitchers' arms. It's all in the favour of the Jays, baby.

I can't believe it'll only be my birthday for another 3 minutes ... and I didn't do anything special to celebrate it. But I'll do it tomorrow.

That's right. I live in a nation that is ardently for crusts. ;)

Happy B-Day

Happy Birthday Rath!

In other news, I got called "young lady" at Costco this morning!

Being called "young lady" by condescending and/or obsequious young men (and it was always young men) used to irritate me to no end. I've learned to ignore it, though at times I am sorely tempted to refer to the offender as "little boy."

I and my siblings all went prematurely grey. I've been colouring my hair since my thirties. My brothers, between the ages of 56 and 67, all have white hair. Something in the water?

My hair is still the same color it has been most of my adult life except for a few strands of astonishingly curly gray strands at the temples. Family genetics from my paternal grandmother. My hairdresser (back when I had such a thing pre-covid) told me this particular brown is "the color blonds go when they don't dye."

Where do they go when they dye?
