If you click on this thread you must post on it...

I've lurked a few times on this thread today, I suppose it is time for me to post something. I'm going to Cornwall (Ontario) for three days beginning tomorrow. I won't have a computer, but I will check in once in a while on my phone.

The sloth is starting to get a little ridiculous. I should be halfway done a novel by now, but instead I'm still playing PS5 and spending way too much time in bed. I'll attribute part of the blame to Old Queen Mittens, as lately she's been insisting that I not get up. This morning she continued snoozing under the blanket when I had to finally get up to use the bathroom 😅

Hmm. I have seen there is a horror movie called "Sharknado" (about a tornado that picks up sharks and flings them at people), and a horror movie called "Catnado" (ditto, but the tornado picks up cats and throws them at people).

So, why not a horror film called "Spidernado"? I would be much more scared about a tornado that flings thousands of spiders at me.

Maybe there's the start of an idea there for an action flick. The next great Hollywood villain would fling spiders at you from his hands. His name? The Spidernator, of course! (But not played by Arnold Schwarzenegger).

Why not? Hollywood's created even more ridiculous villains over the years. ;) What do you think?

The publisher asked me if I could read a debut novel and provide a comment for publicity. The last time he asked, the book didn't appeal to me and I didn't have time to read it anyway. I read this one yesterday afternoon and liked it very much. Now I have to figure out what to say about it to draw other readers in.

From Google:

Top literary review buzzwords to elevate analysis include nuanced, compelling, haunting, visceral, and resonant, which effectively convey deep emotional or intellectual impact. For structural or academic reviews, terms like prolepsis, enjambment, in media res, unreliable narrator, and morally gray provide precise technical insight.
