And then some.

Deep-rooted trauma. My wife and I, fairly newly married with a baby that weighed 5 pounds that the fools let us take home from hospital to live in Rose Cottage in rural Cork that didn't match the quaintness of its name with one water tap in the entire dwelling and a gap under the front door that branches of trees swept through in windy weather and the mice knew us by first names where we whiled away times when not poking at our daughter to make sure she was ok with games of scrabble that left me in a huff because she won every time. But cheated!

Actually, that was one of the best times of my life.

See! Therapy works!!

I have a very clear memory of getting a dress from my Gramma on my fourth birthday and modeling it for the family and being very upset that it was too long.

I played the computer again today and upped the difficulty level to "medium" - and I won 420 to 324.

But I sure would rather play against a human.
Yeah pretty sure it just lets the computer make better plays. I doubt it's sophisticated enough to try and "block" the human player but it's still a good challenge and good practice.

I'd also prefer to play against a human. Can't really gloat to a computer player, now can you?

But which side of the pond decides spelling? Picture the squabbles. We could call it W(t)F Squabble Scrabble.

Go you do it on one of those apps the app decides

The Scrabble online I discovered yesterday gives the players the choice of language - UK English, US English, or a few European languages.

It would just be a matter of the two players involved in one game agreeing which language to use. (I'm adapted to both!)

If anyone wants to challenge me to a game, go to:

And click on "Play a Friend" > Select language and time limit (I think 45 min. is good) > Click on Continue > On "Invite Directly" type in LouanneLearning

I'm good with that, but I do like my "u" in favour, honour, neighbour, etc etc

(All those words got underlined in red in my post)

Yeah, really, who would use their "u" in favour, honour, vigour, when you are waiting for the "q"

I've always favored the letter X, probably started as a kid, because an X marks the spot for buried treasure.

I love writing cursive L's the most though. Q is quite fun too.

Don't care much for Y's though, everyone assumes my name ends in one and it enrages me.

I just played Scrabble again with the computer. I won 377 to 266. But it is just not the same as beating a person.
