I'm just waiting for medical crack to come out.

One of my pet peeves is parents who ask their children to do something and say, "Please?"

My parents just said, "Do it."

Haha. Yeah. Same. I had this one poor girl start crying hysterically when I politely asked her to polish some glasses. She thought I didn't like her and that she was doing a bad job. I had to explain that, no, at work we are often issued instructions to facilitate the correct order of operational tasks to make everyone's job easier. It wasn't a reprimand, indictment, or performance comment at all.

It's different now. It would have never occurred to me to question my parents.

Well, add me to your list of things that peeve you, because I always addressed my children with the same courtesy I show adults. One can say, "Please mow the lawn" in a polite manner that still indicates choice is not involved. Son and daughter went to work at the ages of 14 and 16 respectively and reached advanced levels of responsibility in their early twenties. Both are firm but polite people... for the most part.

PS I was the one who questioned everything I was told.

A happy preemptive Labour Day!

Well, the time is almost here. Tomorrow will be a busy day, updating stuff, posting links and images and whatnot here and there. I'm excited to share the book cover - I think it looks fantastic. I'm asking the title and the cover to do a lot of the marketing for me, but I'm not going to feel all that disappointed if it doesn't sell. It'll just be nice to finally put something more than a short story out into the world.

Grr, Fallout 4 just disabled all its mods I had on it. I can't even get onto the mods menu to re-enable/reinstall it.
