I'm hoping I get a break in the weather clear to Washington next week. Hmm. Guess maybe I ought to think about getting ready to go. I made a crib afghan for the new grandbaby and have no idea where I put it.

Our springs are cold and sometimes rainy. What is spring like for you? :)
It largely depends on what part of the world you're in, of course, but Robert Frost summed up spring in New England nicely:

"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,
A wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."

Around here, it's generally mild, although years past have seen high winds and torrential rains.

Saying something like 'all disabled people are [XYZ]' makes about as much sense as saying 'all [fill in the blank] people are [XYZ]'. In other words: No sense whatsoever. And people who say things like that can naff right off.

I think there are more disabled people than people actually see. Their disabilities may be mental, or physical while not disfiguring. Some hide it well, others not so well.

I wrote an essay about that some time ago, about the "Fellowship of the Mark of Pain." I can see chronic pain perhaps where others cannot, because I'm a member of the fellowship myself. It's in the careful way they move, or a fleeting expression in the face. As a matter of pride, I don't have a disability placard in my car,* because while it hurts me to walk long distances, I feel that others may need it more. Maybe someday I'll give in and apply for it, but not yet.

*Actually, I do have one, but it's for my wife, who's in a patient transport chair when we go to her doctor's appointments and such. But we hope that she may recover to the point where a walker will suffice.
Ahem. Please pardon my rant, and my swearing. Thanks :)

Spring in Wyoming is cold, warm, windy, still, snowy, dry as a bone, rainy, cloudy, overcast, clear, and that's just a typical Monday. Currently kinda clear sorta overcast depending on which direction you look, 53 degrees with a 45 mile per hour wind.

Should we expect an Australian or Canadian accent?
The main characters are backpackers, so I use my normal voice - however there is one line from an Aussie in it and I try and do the accent 😅

Editor got back to me very quickly after doing some studio magic. It sounds great!

A couple warm days here with rain and almost all the snow is gone. The building heat is still cranked like it's -20 out, so I've got a window open. Aside from the thawing dogshit everywhere, the building keeping the heat on for too long is my least favourite thing about spring. I already miss winter 😭

I'm psyching myself up to clean the house today
