If you click on this thread you must post on it...

Spent this afternoon reading a short historical novel I wrote thirty years ago, making a few corrections before sending it off to my agent along with a couple of even older fantasy stories I rewrote about ten years ago. Recently I mentioned past work to him, and he said he wanted to read it, even if it wasn't a genre he normally accepts. Okay, then. Off it goes.

The market is screaming for more Catriona books! You simply love to see it.

I am excited to watch my Pittsburgh Penguins take on their rivals the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in game 1 of their playoff series. Seems crazy to me that Crosby, Malkin, and Letang are still together after winning their first cup for the Pens way back in 2009. 17 years ago !

On Goodreads, I have 999 written reviews. When I get 1,000, it will be virtual lemonade and cookies for all. There are 9,844 ratings. Someone must be reading the thing.

Trying to psych myself up for a group writing experience this afternoon. Had I not accepted an invitation, I'd skip it. Guess I can take my PP program and do the final touch ups at the library as easily as I can do them at home.

Well, not really, but I'm doing what I can to encourage myself to keep social engagements. I don't like being stood-up myself.

Sigh. It'll be fine. Reeeeeally.

Aw, checked in too late. You are now up to 1001 reviews! I'd left a rating a while back but not a written review. That's so cool - nearly 10K ratings with a 4.43/5 average!

Super duper happy and excited for you, love to see this.

The PowerPoint program and script are finished. Yay. Tomorrow I will polish up the at-home exercises I agreed to provide and call it good. I am not going to make much money on this deal, but maybe I'll be able to use the program repeatedly in the future and imporve the hourly wage. That's okay. It was kinda fun and I'm looking forward to the Zoom on Thursday evening.

Then who was the eggman?

According to Gemini:
The Eggman was Eric Burdon of The Animals. He claimed on Facebook that he was the inspiration for the line. He earned the nickname "Eggs" in the 1960s after sharing a story with Lennon about a sexual encounter involving a raw egg.

The Walrus, apparently, was John. He adopted the persona of the walrus from the Lewis Carroll poem. He later stated he did not realize the Walrus was the "bad guy" in the poem until after the song was written.

Lennon wrote the song to intentionally confuse analysts and fans who were searching for deep meaning in Beatles lyrics. He deliberately paired contrasting, nonsensical imagery—partly inspired by LSD trips.

Other interpretations suggest "the eggman" is a reference to Humpty Dumpty, who also appears in Lewis Carroll's work.

Take it or leave it, but that's what Gemini tells me. *shrug*
