We're driving out to Prince Edward Island, then to Halifax, and then to Cape Breton Island.

I'm going with my Mom, my brother, and my niece! What a fun crew. It was my Mom's idea.
I'm sure you're going to love it. Something like 18 years ago I went on an East Coast road trip in late summer, and it was so so beautiful and fun. We spent more nights in a tent in the national parks than we did in hotels to save a bit of money (probably would spend more nights in hotels nowadays 😅) and really got to enjoy what nature had to offer in those parts.

PEI is very cool. Wild driving across that long-ass bridge, it seems to just go on forever. Back then it cost something like $60 to cross it - be curious to learn what the toll is these days. We spent a few nights at an Anne of Green Gables B&B. There's so much Anne-themed stuff there, as one might expect.

The Bay of Fundy is a popular destination for a good reason. It was kind of mind-blowing, seeing exposed seabed as far as the horizon, and then becoming ocean once more. You all will dig it.

We'd planned on taking the ferry to Newfoundland or maybe checking out Cape Breton, but we simply ran out of time and had to head back home before uni classes started again. Would love to go back one day and see some more of the sights and enjoy more cultural experiences.

I got to go once before too. The last time my husband and I went on a vacation and it was the best one!

Bruins fans be hating Florida, but love Marchand, so there's some mixed feelings up here.
The Rat has been on FIRE. Frustratingly so 😅

There are some dudes who are just built for the playoffs. He can sign anywhere he wants over the summer, but I bet he goes back to Florida.

Since the Cats have done well in the playoffs, that second round pick they got for him turns into a first in either 2027 or 2028.

Does that mean much, though? I don't follow hockey enough to have an opinion, but I know NHL and NBA teams trade draft picks like Pokémon cards while the NFL holds onto them for dear life.

lol the Browns
Haha. Yeah. But they're special.

Unfortunately, the only thing I know about the (Cleveland, right?) Browns is a sequence I once saw in "The Simpsons", when Homer makes $30 on the stock market and spends it all on beer. Then, he brags (in the presence of some German investors) about how he might just quit his job and be a "stock market ... guy". ;)

The Germans ask Homer some penetrating questions about how much the nuclear plant would go for, and he brags that Mr. Burns wouldn't sell it for less than 100 million dollars. (Because he's Homer, of course; what would he know?) :)

The Germans are impressed. One of them counts the money in his suitcase and reassures the other: "Don't worry. We'll still have enough to buy the Cleveland Browns."

Are the Cleveland Browns that bad? Just wondering. :)

They traded a shit ton of picks to the Texans for sex offender DeShaun Watson, in spite of knowing he'd be suspended, then he played like shit, until he got hurt. They gave him eleventy billion dollars fully guaranteed and are now stuck with him cause cutting him would murder what's left of their cap space. Words fail me when I think of what they could have now for those picks.

I mean, that's why they're the Browns.
