It's really quite chilly and rainy here today. Very gray.

I've never seen anything like it. We've had like three nice days all Spring. This has got to be the fourth or fifth trash rainy Saturday in a row. I haven't even brought the A/Cs up yet.

The amount of rain is getting ridiculous. We do have our A/C up, but not much use out of them. I'm wearing a damned sweater right now. In June. It's a light sweater, but still.

I'm in shorts, shirtless, shivering with the windows open, refusing to give in. Me against you, weather, like Lieutenant Dan in the hurricane.

If you are ever in Summerside PEI on a Saturday afternoon check out Evermoore Brewery and Pub. More live music - about eight musicians including 4 fiddlers doing the most craic-worthy Celtic music. Loved it! And the food was really good, too.

There were at least a couple of hundred people at the to-do in the park, today with more driving by honking and waving. A large vehice that looked suspiciously like those parked at the local National Guard station circled the block repeatedly, adorned with waving flags and No Kings signs. One guy in a car yelled, "Support Trump," someone in another car yelled, "Go back to Caifornia," and some guy in a low rider restored pickup pulled close to the curb, and tried to intimidate folks with engine noise and threatening moves (or maybe he was having trouble using a clutch). Other than that, the Orange Supporters kept quiet.

For what it's worth, I loved Cormac McCarthy ordering that pizza. :)

Just for fun, I wrote one called "Ned Flanders orders pizza". I'll share it if anyone is interested. :)

T-shirts hang in abject surrender on my neighbour's washing line. Those neighbours are my weather vane. Maybe the dark clouds overhead will just blow over and we can all sit around and say, "there's great drying in it."

Seeing as this thread is turning into the weather channel, could I ask that all temperatures be cited in Celsius. Centigrade if you must, but that's the limit. Precipitation can be metric or imperial, if it's above zero in whichever I may as well stay here. Wind velocity means nothing to anyone, so a rough scale of "a bit blustery" to "will someone tell Dorothy to get indoors with that dog" will do just fine.

You can ask, but I'm unlikely to comply, seeing it is as easy for you to look up the conversion as it is for me. ;) "A bit blustery" in my area means trees haven't actually begun to fall. "A bit blustery" where my brother lives means the air is moving enough to make the leaves gently dip and sway. Which rough scale shall we use as reference? 🌪️

The moosian scale is the definitive reference

It goes from 'a little blowy'… trees are moving and bins are sailing down the streets, birds are flying backwards

Via.. 'interesting weather'.. trees are falling, tiles and fence panels are flying around like tissue paper

To 'fucking not going out in tha'… houses are losing their roofs, waves are breaking in 20ft plumes, and a planes are taking off vertically due to the airflow over the wings
