Today I finally learned how to pronounce Antigonish properly, from a local.

Ana-gonish (with the accent on the -ish)

I wonder if it has anything to do with Antigone? (pron. "An-TI-go-nee", an Athenian tragedy written by Sophocles).

Florida seems a strange place to play ice hockey. The only Canadian sports person I can name is Devon Larratt. Go city sports team!

Way to anonymize that. ;) It reminds me of this fine song:

We are a rule observant bunch. Click. Then post. Apart from the hundreds of views in excess of posts, that is. Hell might be too much, but I'll not be surprised if I hear of them cleaning the toilets in heaven.

Yeah, I'm sure some people don't post. Oh well, hopefully they're still caught in the notification/accidental click loop. That's basically hell, right? (and yes, I know I could shut off the notifications, but what's the fun torture in that?)

Bots and search engines account for the overwhelming majority of views.

We could blame the bots and I'm happy to do so in most situations. Here, though, my preference is for accusatory glares at my fellow members. Oh if they could see it.

In other news, the warm weather arrived and then some. I was scheduled to be out of the office today but my afternoon appointment cancelled, so took the opportunity to "work" from home. Called to where my wife was helping her friends out at a show jumping event and watched the grand prix in sunshine. Even had to get me key-app (spoken quickly and as close to one syllable as possible) from the car to protect the top a the head from sunburn.

Clicked and caught up, but don't really have anything to add, so I will just talk about my air fryer for a moment.

It's my favourite appliance right now. To think I was pan-frying so many things; getting splashed with crackling butter, making a minor mess, and attentively observing and frequently flipping things when I could've been in my recliner.

Last night I prepared a couple of veggie burgers in the air fryer and they turned out just fine. Have been doing veg dogs here and there, too. Potato wedges? You bet. And it's great for reheating leftovers. I think the best use I've found for it is roasting corn on the cob. I used to microwave the cobs, but there's nothing quite like a little char on your corn in my view.

Air fried Brussels sprouts (toss in olive oil and a little salt before throwing them in) are sooooo good. If you like Brussels sprouts of course. They'll pry my air fryer from my cold dead fingers 🤣

Not a sprouts guy outside of whatever kinda sprouts they include in Cantonese takeout fried rice. But yeah, air fried FTW !

That reminds me, I gotta order some Chinese soon. Been a while.
